Overview

M Health Fairview is looking for an Housekeeping Aide at our Southdale location , in Edina, MN.

This is a Floor Care position and is represented under the union SEIU.

Location : Southdale hospital, located in Edina

Hours : 32 hours biweekly, with every other weekend dedication

Shift : day shift

Schedule:

Week 1:

Mon: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Sat: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Sun: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Week 2:

Mon: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Responsibilities Job Description

• Cleaning : Maintain cleanliness in offices, hallways, common areas, and other spaces.

• Furniture Handling : Move furniture before and after cleaning tasks.

• Floor Care : Clean, dust, mop, strip, and wax floors.

• Chemical Handling : Measure and operate chemical dispensing units, ensuring proper labeling and safety.

• Equipment Maintenance : Clean, maintain, and store equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) proficiently.

• Inventory Management : Keep track of floor areas and schedule cleaning and maintenance duties.

• Reporting : Report maintenance issues to the supervisor.

• Hazardous Waste Assistance : Assist with hazardous waste collection as requested.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications & Other Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.

• Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation practices.
