Infinite Health Collaborative (iHealth) Athletic Trainer Sports Performance - Twin Cities Orthopedics (Training HAUS) in Edina, Minnesota

Description The certified athletic trainer will work with the Training HAUS team in the care and prevention of athletic injuries. This position will work closely with physical therapy, sports scientist, and strength and conditioning in the development and management of athletic rehabilitation and sports performance. This individual will assist in the development and implementation of programming related to the progression back to sport. Full-time role, Monday - Friday, hours vary, out of our Edina location. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential functions: * Prescribe and execute effective rehabilitation plans for all stages of post op and non-op therapy * Program and execute group-based return to play strength and conditioning for athletes recovering from injury * Highly effective communicator, working in collaboration with physical therapists and sports performance coaches in the development and execution of rehabilitation and performance plans * Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and staff within the organization in a professional manner * Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy sports performance clinic * Documenting treatments in EMR in conjunction with physical therapist * Create treating note templates within EMR specific to TCO physical therapy and patient return to sport progression * Collaborate with Director of Therapy, Sports Performance Manager, Sports Medicine Coordinator, Therapy Managers, other internal and externals Personal Trainers/Strength Coaches, and Marketing to develop and implement solutions to sports performance needs * Provide education on a regular basis to physicians, physical therapists, and strength coaches throughout the organization to demonstrate the use and importance of athletic training in the aid of sports performance and return to play decisions * Remain active in community projects and outreach in TCO current contracted relationships as well as new relationships * Manage payments, attendance, and accountability reports for programs * Ability to work within set budgets for equipment/supply purchasing * Foster community relationships relating to sports performance in the community with partners who share in TCOs core values * Participate in strategy development and implementation of sports performance program growth * Participate in continuing education routinely in order to maintain state licensure while practicing within the scope of MN State rules/regulations * Promote TCO sponsored sports performance events in the community at health fairs and events * Maintain safe work environment for self, staff, and patients Additional functions: Any and all other duties as assigned Integrity Service Quality Innovation Teamwork Education, experience, & other requirements: * Bachelor's degree in athletic training/Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science/Kinesiology or related fields * Master's Degree Preferred in Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science/Kinesiology or related fields * Possess and maintain athletic trainer certification with Board of Certification, INC. * Possess and maintain Athletic Trainer Registration with Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. * Experience working within physical therapy setting, carrying out exercises under the direction of a PT * Experience working within a strength and conditioning setting and the ability to write and carry out programming related to return to sport within strength and conditioning.
