SciTech Services, Inc. Engineering Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician in Edgewood, Maryland
Citizenship/Clearance requirement: Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and pass a background check and drug screening.
SciTech Services, Inc. (SciTech) is seeking an Engineering Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician to provide support to the DEVCOM team. The Engineering Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician will work closely with a team of engineering designers, drawing verifiers, and configuration management specialists and provide subject matter expertise (SME).
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for developing enhancements to the organizations enterprise Product Data Management (ePDM) environment.
- Generate 3D and 2D product data packages.
- Incorporate engineering changes into drawings of legacy chemical and biological systems.
- Review data delivered to DEVCOM on contract.
- Create and update 2D product drawings using AutoCAD.
- Generate 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Apply DoD and Industry drawing standards.
- Modify and update Technical Data Packages (TDP).
- Provide briefings and speak to small groups of people.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Aided Design (CAD), or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of CAD experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRND).
- Familiarity with configuration management workflows and responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Must possess problem-solving skills and make informed decisions independently and as part of a small group.
- Adaptable to evolving requirements and changes in schedules.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a professional manner with co-workers and customers.
