Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in EDGEWATER, Maryland, United States. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely and efficient manner.

• Maintain precise records of customer credit.

• Regularly review and update account coding for accuracy.

• Ensure that vendor bills are moved forward in the system.

• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Utilize accounting software systems to manage accounts payable.

• Use Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas for data entry and tracking.

• Handle discrepancies in accounts payable and resolve customer inquiries.

• Stay updated with the latest accounting functions and ensure their implementation.

• Utilize NetSuite for creating and storing vendor bills and check processing. Requirements • Must have at least 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar position

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Excel Formulas

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Experience with Check Processing

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Ability to handle Discrepancies in financial reports or statements

• Knowledge and experience with NetSuite software

• Understanding and execution of various Accounting Functions

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high volume environments

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located.
