The Technical Manager is a role within the Advisory consulting practice. Optum is seeking a technical manager to support the implementation program for claims and other healthcare solutions. This individual will be responsible for architecting and designing technical solutions for integration for both On Prem and Cloud based solutions

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members

• Lead the design and development of integrations between Facets, Health Rules Payer and the rest of the customers technology ecosystem

• Work with client requirements, technical architects and program leadership to scope, plan and design integrations

• Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

• Build and maintain solid client relationships

• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high quality services

• Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes

• Proven ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with software development life cycle including Agile and Waterfall delivery models

• 5+ years of experience with SQL writing queries and stored procedures and API integration

• 5+ years of experience with Facets/HealthRules payer integration

• 5+ years of experience working with Health Insurance processes and systems, including claims processing, enrollment, benefits and provider management

• 5+ years of experience leading integration efforts for large scale system implementations

• 5+ years of experience migrating a healthcare plan to a new technology platform

• 3+ years of experience working with Azure/Cloud

• Ability to travel as needed potentially up to 25% however will likely be less or none at all

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working with offshore teams

• Experience managing budget and resource plans

• Experience in a leadership role in a diverse, fast paced environment

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
