Optum’s client advocacy and reference program, SHARE (Strategic Healthcare Advocacy Reference Exchange), was created to facilitate meaningful discussions between current and prospective clients. The Reference Relationship Manager (RRM) partners closely with and advocates on behalf of their SHARE program clients, manages reference activity, and connects clients with opportunities to share their Optum success stories more broadly.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proactive reference generation: In conjunction with client management partners, and per guidance from business and sales leaders, the RRM identifies clients for consideration into the program.

  • Maintain current information on SHARE clients, including reference status, ROI/success metrics, personnel/staffing, reference activity frequency and duration, client reference preferences, etc.

  • Capture, document, and maintain knowledge about how clients are successfully implementing and using Optum solutions and services; qualify, track, and monitor reference usage and associated rewards and benefits.

  • Organize and manage client reference activities. Fulfill requests for reference activities to include phone calls and planned onsite visits. Supply content for communication and reference systems and various internal and external reports.

  • Responsible for gaining in-depth knowledge of SHARE partners and their associated solutions/services, in order to effectively promote technical and business aspects of each client’s use of Optum solutions both internally and externally.

  • Cultivate relationships with Optum client management, sales executives, business unit leaders, and executive/senior level contacts.

  • Responsible for continuous improvement to reference management program and associated systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 1+ year of Healthcare industry experience

  • 3+ years of experience in client management or sales

  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • 1+ year of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Optum solutions

  • Strong project management experience and attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment essential

  • Proficiency with Saleforce.com

  • Presentation experience to c-suite level

  • Experience interfacing with sales, prospects and clients

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
