Job Type:Regular Invest in you, JOIN AGROPUR. We dairy you! The International Logistics Coordinator manages the export process to Agropur's international markets. This position works closely with sales, manufacturing plants, quality assurance, warehouse and freight vendors to coordinate international shipments. The International Logistics Coordinator acts as a primary contact for customers in their region for registration, scheduling, export documentation needs as well as all customer service inquiries. This position plays a critical role in delivering goods to foreign buyers/customers. What's involved in this role : Ensure the highest level of data quality. Processing, track and trace international shipments, Maintain and update CRM purchase order entries, shipping status and reason codes. Understand, interpret, and apply foreign import requirements needed for customs clearance; Comply with CA/US Government regulation to facilitate clearance ensuring CA/US export customs regulatory compliance is achieved. Prepare, validate, and submit export documentation to ensure acceptance of product and payment from Customer for product; interpret, verify, and act as liaison to customer for Letter of Credit opening according to Agropur requirements Review and update regional, country specific regulations and tactical import procedures ensuring they support customer expectations; Develop and update cover sheet profile according to customer and country requirements. Proactively coordinate and direct, and communicate the management and tracking of all material and food in transit, through its receipt, storage, and onward distribution (US ONLY) Maintain quality customer service and represent Agropur in a professional manner. Building and maintain meaningful relationships during all points of contact within the customer service cycle - customer POCs, vendors, manufacturing, and cross functional teams. Successfully use and understand International Business etiquette. Assist with documentation audits to ensure accuracy and regulation compliance. Correct or report any observed safety hazards. Support safety policies and programs. What you need to join our team : Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. Experience Required: Minimum two (2) years of experience with the transportation industry, international business, or related field required. Minimum two (2) years of experience with dairy exports preferred. Bilingual (Enlisgh and Spanish) Certification/Licensure Required: None Skills Required: Knowledge in domestic and international business acumen, understanding of current and future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the organization, familiarity with the competition, and comprehension of how strategies work in marketplace. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently. Maintain updated knowledge and understanding of international, federal and state employment and labor laws, regulations, procedures, and standards. Exchange basic informational data (fill out forms/checklists, make own appointments, etc.); interview to gather information; advise others on alternatives/options; coach and counsel others; read, understand and explain technical data; compose business correspondence and reports, bot routine and complex; attention to detail. Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook and field-specific software.
