Description:

• Research: Researching vendors and wholesalers to find products that meet the company's needs

• Negotiation: Negotiating contracts with suppliers to get a fair price, discounts, or wholesale prices

• Quality evaluation: Evaluating the quality of goods

• Budgeting: Staying within a budget

• Inventory management: Managing inventory

• Delivery: Ensuring that ordered products are received within the stated timeframe

• Communication: Communicating supply problems to other departments and acting as an interface between suppliers and other departments

• Trend monitoring: Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers

• Risk assessment: Assessing the financial risks of purchases and monitoring for issues that present risk or opportunity to the organization

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1+ years of buying experience (healthcare industry a plus)

• 1 + year of oracle experience

• Bachelors degree preferred, not required
