Job Summary Generate Sales Growth for the Company's standard products and services to meet Orders and Sales goals for accounts served directly and through distribution by this position. This sales position is heavily based on new customer prospecting and early customer engagement. Role is supported by a regional Applications Engineer to help demonstrate and educate on technical details and training of core products, at end users, OEMS, and distribution channels. Job Description SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Establish daily and weekly prospecting processes to develop new customer pipeline, while managing next steps in pipeline to close/execute new business. CRM is hosted in Salesforce environment. Coordinate Technical Support to key customers using your own knowledge of drives and motor applications as well effectively utilizing the support of the local Applications Engineer and other technical resources at Control Techniques and Nidec, including established channel partners in respective territory. Become and maintain proficiency of the Control Techniques Variable Frequency Drives and Motors portfolio, including KB Electronics brand. This also includes packaged products (High Powered drive free standing, and wall mount solutions). Adequacy in how to demonstrate the Control Techniques software, and key selling points is required. (This is not inclusive of coding VFD's - this is on simple setup and overview of drive management software). Conduct daily sales appointments to existing and prospective customers to promote Control Techniques Drives and Motion Control solutions, hitting established in-person KPI's on a monthly basis, recorded in Salesforce CRM. Develop and maintain a sales plan for assigned territory/accounts that meets or exceeds orders plan and grows market share. NEW business development of target accounts is a key activity. Support assigned distributors with joint sales calls and training to amplify efforts and drive growth in the territory. Focus with distributors is on engaging and selling to new customers. ASM is responsible for assisting Inside Sales Team assigned to respective territory for day-to-day management of established channels. Keep current on all Company products from a technical, application, pricing, and selling benefits standpoint. Demonstrate good judgment and adeptness at analyzing facts, problem solving, decision-making and communication skills. Prepare monthly sales forecast and target account pipeline updates for assigned accounts. ASM will be required to build and maintain monthly and quarterly forecasts in CRM, including high-confidence projects for execution. Generate and present to customers written quotations and proposals for the Company's products and services following current pricing and sales policies. Be able to demonstrate Company standard demo equipment and train customers in applications, features and benefits of products including the distinctive selling points to market competitors. Aggressively follow up on all leads and enter the results in the company's CRM system. Assist with sponsored trade shows as requested. Document all customer appointments in the Company's CRM system. Learn and follow current Company Sales processes including sales policies Join and remain in good standing as a member of any professional organization that represents a significant industry the Company serves. If manufacturer representative(s) exist within the assigned territory/accounts,provide day to day assistance to he representative(s) and assist the regional sales director in managing this resource. Additional Job Details REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Four year technical or engineering degree (BSEE, BSE, BSEET, BSME, BSMET preferred) OR 5 additional years of experience selling drives or motion control 5 years of experience selling drives or motion control Previous experience working with and ability to manage Distribution Previous experience selling automation solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be proficient in Microsoft office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
