Reference #: 4683079 THE POSITION The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is eager to find enthusiastic candidates! The Cambria County branch of the Department of Transportation is currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of Custodial Worker 1.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will provide essential custodial services within the 01 building and its surrounding yard, ensuring that all operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and safe work environment through regular manual cleaning tasks such as waxing, dusting, and polishing floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures. You will also be tasked with cleaning restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed, as well as properly disposing of wastepaper and other refuse from the building. Additionally, you will oversee the upkeep of outdoor areas and building entrances, which includes snow shoveling, sweeping, and lawn maintenance, along with seasonal landscaping duties. You will be responsible for keeping Fleet vehicles clean as instructed, conducting weekly cleaning of the wash bay's walls and floors, and performing any scheduled interior painting within the building. Furthermore, you will assist in setting up conference rooms as required and manage the raising and lowering of flags as directed. Daily communication with supervisors and colleagues will be essential to ensure that all assigned tasks are completed efficiently.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
