The Neurophysiology Technologist responsibilities include:
Intraoperative EEG monitoring with physician oversight.
Performing a variety of EEG’s: Routine, Sleep Deprived, Portable, Ambulatory, and Video monitoring.
Collaboratively working with patients and colleagues in our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
Performing Nerve Conduction Studies and assisting the provider with the EMG portion.
Providing accurate, high quality Neurodiagnostic testing and technical analysis.
Required to participate in EEG/IOM call rotation on weeknights and weekends.
May be required to provide coverage of Neurodiagnostic procedures at other sites in NWWI.
Engagement in collaborative projects is strongly encouraged.
Graduate from a CAAHEP accredited NDP program and Neurodiagnostics experience, which includes previous clinical experience while attending a CAAHEP accredited NDT program or formal NDT program.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to monitor and analyze EEG and other neurodiagnostic wave patterns.
Advanced computer skills preferred.
Demonstrates skills in leadership, problem-solving, continuous improvement, verbal and written communication and team building.
Basic improvement concepts and techniques.
Flexibility in order to accommodate patient/department needs.
License or certification
ABRET Registry as an EEG Technologist with credentials of (R.EEG T., CNIM, or CLTM) within 2 years of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
Obtaining additional credentials is strongly encouraged and preferred.
Exemption status Non-exempt
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $25.59 per hour.
