Manager, Sourcing, Full Time, Hybrid, Easton PA GENERAL SUMMARY: Manages cost sourcing initiatives, analysis, procurement, selection and execution of global manufacturing contracts to ensure manufacturing contracts are established to meet Crayola's quality, delivery and pricing criteria.  Manages and analyzes production capacity for new and existing suppliers against forecast requirements. Manage supply risk.  Ensures Supply Chain scheduling and inventory planning for global manufacturing expectations, asset management and optimizes inventory investment.  Project manages sourced changes throughout the Supplier Approval Process.  Collaborates with R&D to enable suppliers to participate and contribute in the New Product Development Process. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports marketing teams in their development of new products. This may include sourcing new capabilities, cost estimation, and being an active liaison with the supply base. Negotiates purchasing agreements with suppliers, including the implementation of purchasing policies, practices, controls and contingency plans. Manages and controls purchase price variance through negotiations, product design, manufacturing processes and buy quantities that meet inventory objectives. Ensures that the departmental expenditures are managed within budget parameters. Manages the corporate dollar investment in respect to asset management (people and equipment), production commitments and supplier relationships to support customer service levels, on-time deliveries and inventory turns as established by business unit. Identifies and implements short term tactical initiatives in support of customer demands and strategic initiatives in support of core and new product growth. Advises and presents alternative designs, mediums and processes. Active participation on core and new product development teams. Engages suppliers manufacturing and process expertise to identify cost savings initiatives that reduce costs, lead-times and improves efficiencies. Manage and develop a competent and highly motivated team. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Minimum seven years experience in a Procurement leadership role. Experience in purchasing must include a complete understanding of standard costs and a strong background in finance and negotiations. Experience in low cost country sourcing and procurement is preferred. Knowledge of marketing beneficial. Understanding and experience in supply chain practices and/or global capacity planning preferred. 15% - 30% travel required.
