JPMorgan Chase UX Design Lead, Vice President - Digital Private Markets in East Windsor, New Jersey

We're seeking inspired User Experience Designers or hybrid, UI + UX designers who are drawn to simple, sleek beautiful forms and interfaces.

As a member of our Digital Private Markets team, you'll help us launch a new platform with high visibility across the firm. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, branding and building user interfaces which are intuitive, polished and beautiful, working alongside other designers as well as a cross-functional team of product managers, developers and business stakeholders.We're seeking inspired User Experience Designers or hybrid, UI + UX designers who are drawn to simple, sleek beautiful forms and interfaces.

As a User Experience Designer you'll be comfortable working from written requirements, user flows, wireframes and leveraging the company design system in Figma or Sketch to build final versions which will be passed to the development team.

You will have a keen eye and have a willingness to communicate what you see to others, coaching our growing development team to understand the nuances of your design including how it reacts in responsive ways to different browser sizes, understanding margins + padding, different states, colors, ensuring that your vision is properly implemented. At times, you'll also be asked to work in a UX capacity thinking through how your solutions ultimately affect the end user experience of the product.

The platform is brand new and has its own custom brand and styling. You'll have the freedom to further develop, create and refine this platform as it evolves.

A Day in the Life

Your day-to-day responsibilities include participating in standups with your pod to catch up on the sprint's objectives, while on the side you may be working closely with the design system lead or UX lead to ensure that the component library is functioning as it should. Once or twice a week, you'll also catch up with your fellow designers to share work and discuss areas of improvement that you are seeing across the platform. You are continually thinking of ways to make the platform look and feel sophisticated, intuitive and refined.


  • 5-7+ years in building consumer or commercial digital applications

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating accomplishment across the candidate's core skills

  • Working with design system components and libraries

  • Working fluency in Figma / Sketch

  • Working with mood boards, user flows, wireframes, personas

  • Ability to integrate into an multi-disciplinary agile team of developers, product managers, stakeholders

Bonus Experience:

  • Hybrid experience in both UX / Visual Design

  • Illustration skills and/or editing of photorealistic images

  • Ability to work with financial data and market information

  • Mobile experience
