2 Full Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 05/13/2024 - 12/20/2024.

Crops/Commodities: Cut flowers. Plant, cultivate, harvest, bunch, tie, and package flowers. Use hand tools including, but not limited to: shovels, hoes, post pounders, and knives. Plant roots, seeds, plugs, and bulbs. Spread plastic, landscape fabric or other ground covering. Clean ground covering by hand from ground upon removal. Till soil. Weed and thin plants. Transplant plants by hand or with mechanical transplanter. Stake tie, trellis, prune plants, and set posts and wires for vine plants. Pick, cut, lift, or pull crops. Tie flowers in bunches. Wrap bunched flowers in paper. Harvest flowers by cutting stems with pruning shears or a sharp knife. Greenhouse work may include loading soil in trays, planting seeds and cuttings into pots in trays, watering seedlings, moving trays from one greenhouse to another, transplanting seedlings in trays, and loading trays for transport. Consolidate plants. Space, label and tag plants. Locate, select, prepare, tag and load product onto wagons, racks and trucks for shipping. Grade, sort, and place product in shipping containers. Plant, cultivate and harvest flowers in a greenhouse operation. Lower and clip plants, remove shoots, prune, de-leaf, and harvest crops. Raise and lower vines. Plant, interplant, and transplant by hand. Pick, cut, lift, or pull crops. Stack and de-stack product and supplies. Take care to prevent damaging flowers and plants. May use mechanized equipment including but not limited to: sprayers, air compressors, and other power tools equipment. Must operate agricultural equipment safely, with or without direction. Assist with greenhouse and barn maintenance and repairs. Install maintain irrigation systems and water lines. Move and install irrigation pipes and equipment. Water plants with hose. Dig and maintain ditches. Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other crop protectants. Apply fertilizers, plant growth chemicals, conditioners, and other plant related treatments at the correct times depending on plant type, growth, climate and crop conditions. Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping. Operate, repair, and maintain farm vehicles, tractors, implements, and mechanical equipment. Workers must operate all equipment properly and in a manner that protects operator, others, the employers products and property. Failure to comply with safety requirements and operating instructions may result in disciplinary action up to and including immediate termination. Mow, cut, and weed fields. Keep material and product records. Bending, stooping and kneeling required. Use hand tools including but not limited to hoes, shovels, shears, clippers, loppers, and saws. Lift, carry, and load unload products or supplies. Assist with farm building field maintenance and repairs. Repair fences. Move crates containing bulbs and plant material. Move plant material to compost. Wash and sanitize buckets, crates, and other harvest tools. Must wear assigned personal protective equipment when required. Must report for work daily wearing work clothing and boots or other durable foot wear. Workers wearing clothing inappropriate for work will not be permitted to start work. Outdoor work required when plants are wet, or during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Temperatures in fields during working hours may vary. Workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations.
