Role Description:

The Light Commercial (LCML) Lab Infrastructure Manager will spearhead both preventative and reactive maintenance of the HVAC Commercial Engineering lab facilities. They will supervise the management of computer systems and data acquisition systems and play a pivotal role in driving capital upgrade projects for the LCML lab facilities in Syracuse, NY.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance procedures to optimize lab equipment and computer systems’ performance.

  • Conduct comprehensive facility inspections to promptly identify and resolve issues, addressing any malfunctioning equipment or potential hazards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to power distribution, control, and safety.

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise repair and installation activities.

  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders as necessary.

  • Manage the budget for maintenance expenses.

  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs and report daily activities.

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma

  • 10+ years of HVAC and/or maintenance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AA/AS degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post-high school training (equivalent work experience will be considered).

  • Ability to independently lead maintenance projects.

  • Comprehensive understanding of HVACR components, maintenance, and repair procedures.

  • Proficiency in moderate to complex HVACR troubleshooting and problem-solving.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical components and controls.

  • Familiarity with electrical power distribution, associated components, low voltage control, and reading schematics.

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring other maintenance technicians.

  • Effective communication and compliance with EH&S Procedures.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of EH&S regulations and compliance.

  • OSHA 10 Hour Construction EH&S Certified.

  • EPA 608 certified Types I & II (Universal Certification preferred).

Pay Range:

$74,181 - $130,206 Annually
