About our team:
The Materials department is a close-knit group. We consist of buyer/planners for both the Parts Distribution Center and RayBuilt.
About the position:
Resolves a variety of issues involving the purchasing, planning, scheduling, and monitoring of the movement of materials through the production and/or change cycle. Communicates daily with the RayBuilt Operations and Receiving departments. Handles moderately complex issues/problems and refers more complex issues to the Senior Materials Manager.
You will:
- Determine material requirements in SAP.
- Determine the quantities, delivery schedules of raw material, purchased parts, and assembly required to sustain scheduled production.
- Schedule and coordinate flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant.
- Review Master Production Schedule, work orders, and the planning system.
- Respond to priorities for specified customer orders and note in production schedule to clearly communicate urgent requirements.
- Ensure system files are updated with proper information.
- May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to others.
- Perform related work as assigned.
- Regular attendance in the workplace is required for interaction with others and to support teamwork.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understands and applies a broad knowledge of subject matter.
- Requires strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires strong analytical skills.
- Requires a high-level of attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good computer skills are required to use Microsoft Office Suite and a variety of other software.
About the Schedule:
This position is first shift.
About you:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in material control planning is preferred.
It would be great if you had:
- Previous production planning experience including experience in procurement of materials to support production.
About the total compensation package:
Salary - $60,406 - $72,301 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
