Sr. Control Systems Developer

Direct Hire

Must Have: B.S. Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Electrical).

Location: Sauget, IL

Status: Must be a US Citizen.

Hours: M-F (First shift with flexible hours).

Summary: Candidate must work effectively in a manufacturing environment within a team. Creative problem-solving troubleshooting skills as well as good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide programming and configuration support for daily plant operation (24/7), technical service, maintenance, and project groups.

• Provide after hour call support for assigned plant areas.

• Provide improvement and changes to control system programs to meet changing operating needs and improve operator interface (Alarms, Graphics).

• Provide advising role within the Controls group.

• Maintain documentation of control program intent & implementation, changes initiated, etc.

• Review control program changes with process/production engineers and operators.

• The position will work on new and existing control systems.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering (four-year college or university), preferably in Chemical or Electrical Engineering.

• Five plus years’ work experience in Chemical/Petro Chemical/Manufacturing industrial environment.

• Minimum five years in Control Systems or Process Control role.

• Experience with DCS/PLC configuration (preferred Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, Siemens S7, or Emerson DeltaV).

• Experience with HMI configuration (preferred): Wonderware’s HMI.

• Experience with Databases (SQL Server) preferred.

• Working knowledge of network services including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN preferred.

• Working knowledge of data historian.

• Working knowledge of batch application and standards (ISA 88).

• Position is first shift (flexible hours) and maybe occasional shift coverage during project startup (typically 2-5 days).
