Position Overview: The Senior Manager, Accounting will play a key role in supporting the corporate accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial reporting and accounting processes across the organization. The Senior Manager, Accounting will oversee the month-end close process, reconciliations, reporting, and disclosures, with a primary focus on leases and debt. A Day in the Life of the Senior Manager, Accounting: Lead and manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements Focus on accounting for leases and debt, ensuring proper recognition, measurement, and disclosure in financial statements Collaborate with external auditors, divisional directors of finance, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance Design and implement effective accounting policies and procedures. Act as the subject matter expert on technical accounting matters and provide guidance to the team and other departments Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring all disclosures are accurate and comply with SEC regulations Prepare and review white papers on complex accounting issues and communicate effectively on deal arrangements and other technical matters Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and ad-hoc analyses Lead and mentor a team of Accounting professionals, while delivering large-scale projects Actively support, promote and advance all aspects of Astound's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) goals and initiatives, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard and empowered to do their best work Other duties as assigned What You Bring to the Table: 7-10 years of direct accounting experience overseeing month-end close process, reconciliations, reporting, and disclosures Minimum 3 years of Big 4 Audit experience is required Demonstrated experience with major ERP systems and SEC reporting requirements is strongly preferred Knowledge of accounting standards, SEC reporting requirements, and technical accounting issues Strong ability to manage large volumes of data and maintain a high level of accuracy Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to handle large datasets and complex financial models Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare detailed reports and white papers Proficient in the utilization of all the Microsoft Office Suite programs, including, but not limited to MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Abillity to air travel up to 5% Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field CPA certification is required We're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefit
