The Job: As a second shift Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations, you\'ll be part of our Global Tools & Storage (GTS) manufacturing operations team working as an on-site employee. You\'ll get to: Oversee production in our manufacturing setting and encourage a safe and satisfying work environment for employees on second shift. Provide leadership and initiate actions that improve safety and quality at the lowest cost possible, while producing an outstanding product that is delivered on time and in spec. Report to the Plant Manager (or Value Stream Manager) and will be responsible for the supervision of approximately 30 employees. Create and foster a strong safety culture through consistent communication (weekly/monthly employee meetings, toolbox talks, EH&S trainings). Participate in EH&S incident reporting including near miss, accident investigations and corrective action. Support continuous improvement projects and drive lean manufacturing principles. Develop a working knowledge of the equipment and processes in the production area to be able to balance decisions pertaining to customer, employee and business need. Serve as a change agent in the implementation and execution of new processes that increase efficiency and on-time delivery. Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, scrap transactions and production transactions. Manage employee performance and development through the annual review processes.
