The Job: The Tools & Outdoor team is seeking a Human Resource Generalist at the East Longmeadow Manufacturing facilty. The Human Resource Generalist will implement human resources processes and programs and provide professional services to all associates in a fair and equal manner to meet the needs of the facility. You\'ll get to: Provides a full range of day-to-day HR support for the business unit including staffing, recruiting/onboarding, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, benefits, compensation, and training & development. Work together with the HR team, employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve employee relations issues as they arise, including partnering with HR Manager on investigations; Counsels employees to improve or correct performance issues and deficiencies Lead daily meetings with staffing agencies and manufacturing supervisors/teams to determine appropriate staffing levels to meet manpower requirements Assist with leading employee engagement activities (e.g. community outreach, fundraisers, focus groups) Assist with preparing reports and metrics to measure human resource-related functions such as collecting and reporting on statistical data such as turnover, diversity, new hires, transfers etc. for monthly and quarterly review Track employee time and attendance, and/or other related approvals using the appropriate software (e.g. Kronos, Workday) Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion Receive, record, and process daily call-off information Consult with employees to resolve benefit/payroll/LOA issues as they arise Training management (i.e. verify ISO training and document retention for internal/external audits) Process, file, and maintain employment records according to federal, state, and local regulations Attend department, hourly, and salaried meetings as required Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully Other departmental tasks as assigned The Person: You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions.
