Position Summary
The Department of Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures at Michigan State University is seeking a Hebrew instructor to teach three courses over six weeks October 21-December 1, 2024. This is a full-time position at the rank of Assistant Professor/Instructor. Duties include teaching two first-year and one second-year course of Hebrew for a total of 12 classroom contact hours per week.

Required Degree
Doctorate
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in Hebrew / Israeli Culture / Hebrew Literature / 2ndLanguage Education
Doctorate (required for appointment as Assistant Professor)
Native or near native proficiency in Hebrew
Advanced proficiency in English
Experience teaching Hebrew in high school or college setting
Desired Qualifications
Doctorate (required for appointment as Assistant Professor)
Experience using the Hebrew from Scratch textbook
