Graduate Student Assistant Football Coach

Position Summary

The Department of Athletics is searching for a Graduate Student Assistant Football Coach to teach student-athletes in the fundamentals of offensive, defensive and special teams football systems. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide guidance to student-athletes in conjunction with academic services toward good academic standing and graduation
  • Assist in the recruitment of student-athletes
  • Assist the Head Football Coach and assistant football coaches in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I-A program including game preparation and the recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes
  • Assist in monitoring academic progress and development of student-athletes; community involvement; and other program duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and assistant football coaches.

Required Degree

Bachelors

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree. Football coaching experience at the collegiate level. Knowledge of fundamentals of a specific position of play. General knowledge of NCAA rules
  • Must be enrolled in at least one credit at Michigan State University as a condition of employment.
