All of our physicians have received Top Doctor Awards Job Details Surgical Assistance: - Assist surgeons in the operating room during a variety of surgical procedures. - Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring a sterile environment. - Handle surgical instruments and equipment with precision and efficiency. - Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly to requests. Pre-Operative Care: - Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to surgery, including reviewing medical histories and conducting physical examinations. - Educate patients on pre-operative instructions and answer any questions they may have. - Collaborate with the surgical team to develop comprehensive pre-operative care plans. Post-Operative Care: - Monitor patients closely in the post-operative period, assessing vital signs and overall recovery. - Manage post-operative pain and administer medications as prescribed. - Provide patient education on post-operative care and follow-up instructions. Documentation and Communication: - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical notes and post-operative progress. - Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons, to optimize patient outcomes. Requirements: PA - Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, minimum Bachelor’s degree required Experience Minimum of two years’ experience as an APP in a physician practice or OR preferred Certification: Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner certification (AANP or ANCC certification) BLS/ACLS/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations: American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program No online programs from any organization will be accepted. DEA registration required for those with discharge responsibilities. Salary Range USD $66.55 - USD $8.97 /Hr.
