The RTRC Strategic Technologies and Partnership Office is looking to fill a Proposal Coordinator Position . The individual who fills this role will be responsible for driving the process for submission of white papers and proposals working closely with the Business Development, Contracts and Finance teams. This role offers exposure to a wide range of technologies and US government agencies.

What You Will Do

The Proposal Coordinator leads the preparation and submission of RTRC bids and proposals (B&P) deliverables.

The Proposal Coordinator will coordinate and execute the B&P submissions process at RTRC to ensure:

  • Adherence to standard work and best practices in B&P deliverables process from receipt of the solicitation through final submission

  • Effective coordination of processes and procedures between contributing internal organizations

  • Compliance with terms, conditions, requirements, and other obligations laid out in customer solicitations

    Additional responsibilities include staff training, metrics tracking, post-submittal analysis, lessons learned, continuous improvement and providing timely management reports regarding B&P activity.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, time management, and organizational skills are an absolute requirement

  • Experience tracking multiple deliverables to ensure timely and accurate submission of white papers and proposals

  • Experience scheduling kickoff meetings with principal investigators and required teams to ensure alignment on resources and schedule

  • Must have knowledge of the latest U.S. government procurement practices, sound business principles and a working understanding of proposal pricing.

  • Must possess strong capabilities in electronic communication, desktop publishing and electronic proposal submittals.

  • Experience communicating and interfacing effectively with highly technical scientists/engineers, executives, managers, and support staff.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
