The Operational Programs Safety team is seeking a motivated and impactful individual working toward a STEM related degree to aid in the assessment of flight safety related issues, with the ultimate goal of aiding in the sustainment of world class safety.

What You Will Do

• Aid in the development of quantitative and qualitative safety risk assessments and models on gas turbine propulsion system flight safety hazards.

• Develop models blending engineering insights and statistical methods to determine required actions

• Provide assistance for the tracking of safety issues, including performance metrics to ensure actions sustain safety of our products

• Provide assistance in the operation of the Safety Management System.

• Opportunity to collaborate with and to present results to individuals from multiple levels of P&W.

  Qualifications You Must Have

• Enrolled in a degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

• Minimum 3.0 GPA

• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily at an assigned P&W site, based on the responsibilities of the job needed to be performed and the organizational structure.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
