Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines Customer Support is seeking a Customer Fleet Director (CFD) to be the primary point of contact for major airline customers in the China region.

The Customer Fleet Director (CFD) will work closely with the Senior Customer Fleet Director and the Customer Focus Team to drive customer satisfaction and act as the focal point for the airline customer in support of the operations and maintenance of Pratt & Whitney products. The CFD position includes product/technical elements, support of Pratt & Whitney business objectives and supervision & career development of direct report field representatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Proactively monitor customers operating fleets, detecting and managing emerging fleet technical issues.

  • Work with customers, Customer Technical Service, Programs, Spares and Fleet Teams to develop and execute fleet management plans aimed at resolving fleet technical issues. The Customer Fleet Director (CFD) serves as focal for communicating plans and coordinating resources required to minimize operational disruptions and mitigate Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.

  • Develop and coordinate entry into service plans to ensure smooth integration of new products into your customers’ fleets

  • Working with customer and internal organizations to develop support proposals to address non-contractual warranty claims that also bring value to Pratt & Whitney.

  • Supervise a team of Field Service Representatives, providing direction and leadership for the team to provide 24/7 support to address critical customer issues.

  • Career development of field personnel. Guide progression of proficiency in their current assignment and development of skills to fulfill future goals.

  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors.

    What You Will Learn:

  • Experience gained will be to be the face of the customer inside Pratt & Whitney

  • Interact with various organizations within Pratt & Whitney (Sales, Fleet Management, Programs, CTS, Spare, PWEL, etc.) to meet customer needs

  • Interact with leadership both a Pratt & Whitney and at the customer by providing updates via Senior Management meetings

  • Gain a broad understanding of how an airline operates.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience to include customer relationship management, management of customer technical issues, leadership of cross functional teams and employee development.

  • Advance Degree and 7 years of experience to include customer relationship management, management of customer technical issues, leadership of cross functional teams and employee development.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
