This is a Remote, field based Role, and can live anywhere in the United States Your Responsibilities: This role is responsible for cultivating, enhancing, and leading the Dermatology Clinical Sales Associate Directors. Primary responsibility of delivering profitability of in-line brand/s, as well as the successful execution of new launches and change initiatives. This person will also be extremely involved in the strategic design of business and materials for the DCS team. They will Build deep understanding of customers and key stakeholders, and use this knowledge to design innovative & customer-centric strategies that drive sales volume, market share leadership and profitability. Develops business plans with the VP of Sales and collaborates with his/her commercial peers. This role is critical to assuring NPC promotional activities are both patient and customer centric and adhere to all applicable laws and policies. Major Accountabilities: Align and help create the strategies, tools, and resources to support the execution for the DCS team. These will be used to appropriately grow sales and expand market share to achieve goals. Work with direct reports, VP of Sales, and other cross-functional peers to develop business plans to meet sales targets, profitability and productivity goals as well as monitor performance. Manage and lead a team of approximately 4 Associate Directors of Dermatology Clinical Leaders. This includes (but not limited to) recruiting / hiring, coaching, developing, assessing performance, delegation, and assisting with personnel is-sues. Build deep understanding of customers and key stakeholders, and use this knowledge to design promotional strategies that drive education, formulary adoption, protocol development, sales volume, market share, and profitability. Ensure appropriate positioning of approved new products and services to respond to customers’ needs. Ensure all activities are compliant with all Novartis policies and procedures and in the best interest of the patients we serve. Work closely with Sales Training to ensure all reports are proficient in terms of clinical and promotional materials and content. Support product access, including the implementation of competitive response and pull-through strategies. This includes establishing and growing relationships with key stakeholders and customers within assigned geography. Coordinate key projects/initiatives that drive current sales growth. Manage robust performance management plans and continuously strengthen and enhance diverse talent through recruiting, development and succession plans. Foster appropriate innovation in our promotional model and communicate best practices throughout the IHD Franchise sales team and with other Franchises. Work collaboratively across IHD Franchise to ensure appropriate tailoring and positioning of approved products and programs in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures. Build and lead a strong cross-functional (direct and indirect reporting) team including sales leadership, PA & HP, HR, Finance, Sales Training, E&C, Legal, CSO, and Brand. Provide timely communication/direction to leadership team and sales force. Manage operating budget and allocate resources to optimize business results. Role-model V&B’s and reward associates appropriately to foster a positive culture within the Franchise. Lead assigned Dermatology Clinical Sales Team alignment to and ownership of NPC policies including Code of Conduct, and all applicable laws and regulation. Collaborate with P&O to resolve behavioral policy, and/or performance related issues. \n\n\n\n Position Title: Executive Director - Dermatology Clinical Sales - National – Field Bas Minimum requirements: Travel Requirements - 75% or more field travel required Undergraduate Degree DNP, NP, PA and/or equivalent Manage 4+ Direct Reports and 41 indirect 10 years of commercial pharmaceutical experience, 2 years dedicated to leading sales teams in specialty settings Experience selling biologics to customers in the specialty and institutional settings Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent and building high performance teams Strong cross functional leadership and ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and other cross functional partners - Finance, HR, Brand, Customer Strategy & Operations, Sales Training and other key internal stakeholders Strategic and analytical thinking as demonstrated by key projects/initiatives Strong and sustainable performance orientation Excellent communication skills including platform skills; ability to engage and motivate a culturally diverse group of professionals Solid track record on compliance and good understanding of the full range of sales and business compliance issues; unquestionable ethics, values and professional integrity Financial and analytical skills to understand key drivers of local business performance, market opportunities and financial implications of business decisions. Preferred Experience: 2 years in a sales leadership role Leading product launches and specialty sales teams Experience in a cross functional roles such as training, medical, marketing or account management Proven leadership of teams focused on account management/selling experience Built and executed business plans with highly complex sales environments Creativity, a willingness to think outside the box to create positive change Ability to drive and lead through change and ambiguity; including growth and change.
