Veralto Assembly Technician in East Greenbush, New York

Assembly Technician (OEM)

The Assembly Technician will be testing and assembling polycapillary optics for use in X-Ray transmission applications. Daily tasks may include mechanical and electric assembly, Polycapillary optical alignment and testing, accurate data recording and reporting, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Having the ability to work independently while showing good judgement and having good organizational and communication skills is an important part of this role.

This is a paid on-site position in East Greenbush, NY (near Albany, NY), remote or hybrid work is not available. This role is Full-Time with an average of 40 hours per week.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Follows detailed work instructions and occasionally engineering drawings to manufacture optic assemblies.

  • Tests optics before and after optic assembly to ensure specifications are met.

  • Assembly mechanical and electromechanical components to maintain target inventory levels.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to handling small or fragile objects.

  • Must be able to work with patience, follow detailed procedures and make pass fail judgment at critical points within the assembly and alignment processes.

  • Ability for recordkeeping with the attention to detail.

  • Must be able to work for long periods of time at multiple computer stations with minimal supervisions.

  • HS Diploma

The salary range for this role is $19-$20. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
