ABOUT YOU

As a Light Equipment Operator/Attendant (Bargaining Unit Local No. 25), you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and customer satisfaction of the largest airport in New England. Using your skills and experience to operate and maintain a variety of equipment, you keep our parking areas clean, safe, and accessible. You also provide friendly and helpful service to customers who need assistance with their vehicles or parking. As a dependable, adaptable, and customer-focused person who thrives in a challenging and rewarding environment, you are integral to a team a team that works together, supporting the airport’s mission of connecting Massachusetts and New England to the world.

What you will do:

  • Operate and maintain various types of equipment to clear parking areas of debris, snow, or other obstructions.

  • Monitor and secure garages and lots for security issues, breakdowns, illegally parked and overnight cars.

  • Provide customer assistance with jump-starts, unlocking vehicles, directing traffic, and liaising with outside companies.

  • Respond to emergency situations according to airport procedures and codes and perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • Basic reading, writing, math, and machine operation skills, and the ability to communicate in standard English.

  • 3 - 5 years’ airport related experience.

  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions except for corrective lenses and automatic transmission.

  • Massachusetts Hoisting License class 2A.
