ABOUT YOU
As a Light Equipment Operator/Attendant (Bargaining Unit Local No. 25), you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and customer satisfaction of the largest airport in New England. Using your skills and experience to operate and maintain a variety of equipment, you keep our parking areas clean, safe, and accessible. You also provide friendly and helpful service to customers who need assistance with their vehicles or parking. As a dependable, adaptable, and customer-focused person who thrives in a challenging and rewarding environment, you are integral to a team a team that works together, supporting the airport’s mission of connecting Massachusetts and New England to the world.
What you will do:
Operate and maintain various types of equipment to clear parking areas of debris, snow, or other obstructions.
Monitor and secure garages and lots for security issues, breakdowns, illegally parked and overnight cars.
Provide customer assistance with jump-starts, unlocking vehicles, directing traffic, and liaising with outside companies.
Respond to emergency situations according to airport procedures and codes and perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Basic reading, writing, math, and machine operation skills, and the ability to communicate in standard English.
3 - 5 years’ airport related experience.
Valid driver’s license with no restrictions except for corrective lenses and automatic transmission.
Massachusetts Hoisting License class 2A.
