Job Description

We are looking for a skilled software test engineer to join our QA team. As a software test engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating software functions and designing test protocols to ensure that products work as intended. You will also be responsible for completing all testing procedures, suggesting performance changes, and preparing performance reports.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test cases and plans to verify software product functionality. Designing manual and automated test procedures to evaluate each software product. Experience in creating and executing manual and automated test scripts.

  • Increase the effectiveness and accuracy of testing procedures and create and manage automated test scripts. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC), tools, and agile methodologies

  • Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs

  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products

  • Performs analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements

  • Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront

  • Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices

  • Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Three to five years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience testing for: Financial institutions, Mortgage and or Home Equity products, UI

  • DevOps capabilities - containers, cloud, automation, security, configuration management, CI/CD

  • Experience in Azure DevOps

  • Strong experience in Unit Testing (including automation and integration with CI systems) and Agile Software Development (typically Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)

  • Extensive knowledge in modeling and application design and architecture

  • Proficient understanding of algorithms, data structures, architectural design patterns and best practices

  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Functional Testing experience, including ability to create, maintain and execute both manual and automated tests

  • Hands on experience with Selenium, GIT, Cucumber, Jenkins, GIT

  • Strong understanding of Information Management

  • Extensive knowledge in product/vendor management and change control

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $95,285.00 - $112,100.00 - $123,310.00
