Job Description Summary
In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional business partners to provide analysis, reporting, fact-based recommendations, and insights that will assist in delivering against stated financial and performance objectives. You will support the business unit\'s finance and sales leadership in multiple areas outlined below.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides a comprehensive understanding of the various drivers of business unit performance
- Participates in month-end/quarter-end close activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks and communicates key financial results and business drivers
- Assists finance and sales leadership with the development of the annual operating plan and financial forecasts
- Provides comprehensive financial analyses/models and reporting for a variety of areas (customer analysis, internal financial reporting, mix analysis, competitive analysis, etc.)
- Makes proactive recommendations to the sales and finance teams to help drive profitable business decisions and maximize top and bottom-line growth
- Provides technical and process expertise working cross-functionally to improve processes and reporting within new systems
- Takes a lead role in SG&A and A&P analysis and reporting for the business unit
- Supports the Foodservice marketing team with financial analysis, scenario modeling, pre/post promotion analytics.
- Provides ad-hoc analytical support to the Foodservice sales organization and finance team
- Other duties as assigned
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or economics
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in financial analysis and data management
- Knowledge of P&L management and generally accepted accounting principles
- Ability to self-motivate and excel under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment; ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment
- Ability to successfully and independently complete complex analyses, manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously, flex outside of role specific duties, and translate data into key insights
- Ability to think logically and analytically, problem-solve, build consensus, and lead initiatives in an organized and efficient manner
- Ability to analyze and assimilate relevant data into key financial recommendations.
- Experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP software tools pre erred
- Knowledge of applications such as Power BI, Domo, SAP Business Objects (or other BI), SQL and Salesforce preferred
- Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills
Physical Environment/Demands:
- Some travel will be required (typically \< 10% of time)
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
- Valid Driver\'s License and driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards
