Who will you be working with? This role reports to the Commercial Director. Wabtec is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead and expand our mining solutions segment.

Where is the position located? This is a full-time role based in Eagle Farm (QLD).

What will your typical day look like?

  • Proactively research and identify new business opportunities in the mining industry, including emerging markets, potential clients and strategic partnerships.

  • Develop and implement aggressive lead generations strategies to attract potential clients and secure meetings with key decisions makers

  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with prospective clients, industry influences and stakeholders, positioning Wabtec as a trusted partner.

  • Design & execute tailored sales strategies to effectively present our mining solutions, address client needs and close deals.

  • Negotiate terms and contracts to secure favorable agreements while ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or equivalent trade qualification or experience)

  • Proven track record of 5 years in Business development, sales or similar role with focus on acquiring new clients and generating revenue . Experience in sensors and Technology solutions is highly desirable.

  • Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and adjust strategies to maximize results.

  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet with clients.
