As a Senior Software Engineer, you are a critical member of an Agile team responsible for developing solutions that help our customers create a more effective digital presence. You will lead a development team responsible for the Super Lawyers, Abogado and LawInfo properties, while collaborating closely with business partners and stakeholders (e.g. Project Manager, Business Analyst, QA, Architects, Product Managers) to provide leadership throughout the Agile SDLC. About the Role: In this opportunity as Senior Software Engineer, you will: Contribute to the development of application APIs and infrastructure. Provide direction to 1-2 developers, which includes training/mentoring, and code review. Analyze business requirements, contribute to solution design, and provide story estimation. Be accountable for application integrity by ensuring software development best practices that support efficient coding, maintenance, and release deployment, and reduce the likelihood of defects making their way into the production environment. Become an advocate for quality, partnering with developers and QA to ensure thorough functional, performance, security, integration, and unit testing. Bring a curious mindset, striving to learn something new every day, while focused on delivering innovative solutions to our organization. About You: You're a fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer if your background includes: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or area of functional responsibility preferred. 4+ years of relevant industry experience developing PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript n-tier web applications. 2+ years of experience using the majority, if not all, of the following technologies: EC2, Fargate, S3, SQS, Lambda, SES, Cloud Formation/Terraform, Bootstrap UI, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, Memcache, CloudFlare workers. Experience developing with Bootstrap UI/Grid is preferred but not required. Demonstrate success in leading development project initiatives as an individual contributor. Demonstrate ability to build effective cross-functional relationships. Experience interpreting business requirements into technical specifications. Adept at tailoring communication to the audience, from technical stakeholders to executives. Experience developing products within a continuous delivery environment. #LI-JF1 What's in it For You?
