Field Technician I - Construction Materials TestingProfessional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is looking for a Field CMT Technician to join our Building & Construction team in Eagan, MN.Intertek-PSI is a leading US based provider of assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting solutions in civil and commercial construction. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. Through these risk management and quality assurance services, we ensure the reliability, safety and performance of our client's new developments, existing assets, and facilities.What you'll do:Performs a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled proceduresOperates testing equipment and conducts testing, (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provides assessment of data through reportingWorks utilizing drawings, specifications and diagramsUses specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasksMake detailed observations and gives limited interpretation of resultsMaintains detailed documentation and data from test resultsOperates a calculator to calculate mathematical test resultsCommunicates effectively with client and project teamsMust be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at workWhat it takes to be successful in this role:H.S. Education or Equivalent, preferredNo Experience Required - Will TrainPrior construction industry or CMT experience is preferredMust have Basic Math, Calculator and Computer SkillsAbility to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communicationMust be able to read and understand work plansMust be able to work off shifts and overtimeValid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)Physical Requirements:Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently.
