Infinite Health Collaborative (iHealth) Clinical Assistant - Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine in Eagan, Minnesota

Description The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care to patients by assisting with diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments ordered by the physician. This is a full-time position working M-F from 8:30 am - 5:00 and Saturday's from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on a rotation. This role will support our Maplewood, St. Paul, and Eagan locations. Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions: Escorts the patient to the exam room, obtain vitals and document patient history. Performs diagnostic testing under doctor supervision as ordered by the doctor. Prepares room as needed for specified visit type. Assist providers with pre/post op appointments and procedures Processes referrals and schedules clinic appointments. Retrieves calls regarding patient health problems, scheduling needs and documents and routes calls. Calls in new prescriptions and refills to the pharmacy after provider has reviewed and approved. Any and all other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements: High School diploma/GED or equivalent Diploma or equivalent as a Medical Assistant, Military Medic, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Direct Support Professional Certifications preferred but not required 1 -2 years of recent medical clinic experience preferred Superior communication skills, detail oriented, and excellent direct patient care Essential Requirements: Ability to: Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines. Complete job required training.
