DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will perform technical work in the field of forest management and related programs in the Loyalsock State Forest District. In addition, your assignments will cover areas such as timber sales, fire prevention, insect and disease control, and recreation projects. Your work may also involve assisting in the operation of heavy construction equipment or specialized equipment used in construction, maintenance, forest fire fighting, or insect and disease prevention. You will be required to interpret maps, drawings, and plans to carry out your tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

This is a seasonal, full-time position without benefits. The season runs from approximately March until November at which time the employee is placed on leave without pay. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday with 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel as needed Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: An associate's degree in forest technology; or Completion of equivalent formal education in forestry. Condition of Employment:

This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Other Requirements: is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
