We have an outstanding Contract position for aChamfer Machine Operatorto join a leading Company located in theDurham, NHsurrounding area.

As a Chamfer Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by overseeing the setup, operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of chamfer machines. Your responsibilities will include ensuring quality production, inspecting parts to specifications, and making necessary adjustments or tool changes to maintain quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor chamfer machines to ensure quality production and minimal downtime.

• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation.

• Regular maintenance and 5S practices should be conducted on assigned chamfer machines.

• Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments and tool changes as necessary.

• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety procedures.

• Collaborate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of high-quality products.

• Train team members and cross-train them in related tasks.

• Document process data and make recommendations for process improvements.

• Work closely with supervisors and other leads to ensure smooth operations and meet production deadlines.

  Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Prior experience as a machine operator is preferred.

• Ability to set up, maintain, and operate machinery.

• Familiarity with safety rules and manuals.

• Prior experience with Oracle is a plus.

• Knowledge of production procedures and ability to read schematics, and manuals.

• Analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Strong conceptual skills and effective communication.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment and work safely.

• Problem-solving mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
