Here’s the Gist:

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Supervisor role is a member of Wolfspeed’s Global Protection team. This role provides oversight of the monitoring of critical facility systems and alarms, to include; life/safety and facility systems, physical access control, and CCTV. The GSOC is responsible for the dispatching of internal and external emergency services in response to facility alarms and/or reported incidents, as well as disseminating mass emergency communications during site-wide events. This position will play a vital role in the future expansion of our GSOC capabilities as the organization continues to grow with business and operational expansion. The GSOC Supervisor supports efforts to protect our people, property, and information.  This position reports directly to the Durham Security Manager.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Provide leadership, professional development, vision and guidance to GSOC staff
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, and refresh all SOPs and emergency response/coordination procedures
  • Manage multiple projects to create new services, improve existing procedures, or implement solutions to improve GSOC efficiency
  • Manage the hiring process and personnel development of GSOC staff
  • Gather, maintain, and analyze data to identify potential threats/vulnerabilities and improve the GSOC’s performance as well as key metrics related to workload and overall operations
  • Create and implement a clear strategic plan and vision for the GSOC’s future growth and development including staffing, systems, procedures, tools, and overall state of operations
  • Other duties and/or assignments by Wolfspeed’s Global Protection leadership

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the security industry, preferably in a physical security SOC/GSOC environment
  • BS/BA degree or Associate's Degree with combined 3 years of experience in the security field plus any professional certification issue by ASIS International
  • Excellent leadership skills to guide, motivate and inspire individuals and teams to achieve business goals
  • Ability to develop and communicate vision to team members
  • Strong sense of self-accountability and holds subordinates accountable
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to rapidly adapt to and operationalize different customer requirements and understand key business drivers
  • Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving capability with strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Experience with mass communication tools, access control systems, CCTV, and life-safety systems
