Here’s the Gist: 

The equipment supervisors oversee the installation and startup of production equipment. The person in this role will provide leadership in installing production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime after turnover to production. The person in this role will oversee a team of technicians that install and startup the production and test equipment. The person in this role will establish and maintain a safe environment, a fast-paced schedule and the procedures used to install and startup. The person in this role will work with departmental trainers to ensure they have the needed resources for the team.  
  

The Day-to-Day: 

  • Foster a safety-first mindset  

  • Manage the installation, startup, and repair of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

  • Interface with the Process Engineering team to ensure we are installing tools at a pace that meet the demand of the business. 

  • Screen and select candidates for the Equipment team to fulfill ramp and attrition requirements 

  • Manage area budget goals 

  • Support and influence 5S methodology, ensuring the workplace is clean, uncluttered, safe and well organized to reduce waste and optimize productivity 

  • Work closely with process engineering and production staff to improve overall quality metrics for the fab, SPC, Scrap, Rework, and cost reduction from a new tool install perspective 
      

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements): 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical management field or equivalent military experience is preferred 

  • 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing support/repair services 

  • A demonstrated background of success in a management role 

  • Prior semiconductor manufacturing experience is preferred 

  • Must be willing to work a 12-hour manufacturing schedule 

 
This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management. 

 
This role requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
