Job Description Summary

We are looking for a talent in their early career who will assist our scientific team in empowering Pharma companies to develop new antibody-based therapeutics.

We expect the candidate to be enthusiastic, curious, and to have a strong team player attitude. The candidate will be supporting all lab operations’ needs, preparing and quality controlling reagents, ensuring that material, consumables and regents, are available for scientists to conduct experimental work. The candidate will be responsible for lab decontamination activities and contamination monitoring. The candidate will have the opportunity to shadow scientists in their daily activities and, eventually, support experimental work when required.

Responsibilities:

• Support lab operations preparing reagents (solutions, media, plates), washing and autoclaving glassware

• Track inventory of reagents and glassware

• Follow SOPs in order to prepare reagents to support clinical laboratory production operations.

• Understand and execute lab support activities according to EH&S standards.

• Perform and document calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned

• Identify abnormal progress of test procedure, potential quality failures, or otherwise unusual results and escalate to senior lab personnel immediately

• Support safety and 6S requirements and initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field Req

• Basic knowledge of method development and analytical techniques for assigned technical area including principles, theories, concepts, and instrumentation, typically obtained through advanced education.

• Understanding of sample handling and preparation.

• Working knowledge of regulatory agency standards within the area of responsibility.

• Knowledge of laboratory safety and contamination control procedures and practices including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling. Familiarity with Aseptic techniques, good microbiology practices.

• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and resolve process issues.

• Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word ;

• Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to maintain a degree of independence to complete assigned tasks and projects

• Able to follow and understand SOPs

Desired expertise, but not required:

o Quality control

o Recombinant Antibody Technologies

o Automation

o Familiarity with Molecular Biology techniques (PCR, cloning, sequencing analysis)

o Familiarity with ELNs

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $59,400.00 - $89,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
