Summary The primary function of this position is to provide operational support to a national educational initiative supporting the VA Medicine Service and performs the full range of clerical, business and administrative duties that ensure efficient and effective program delivery and program delivery and review. THIS IS A VIRTUAL POSITION Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: The incumbent is responsible for implementation of all communication for educational program coordination as well as scheduling and facilitation of program-specific events. The incumbent is also responsible for collecting, compiling and/or tracking statistical information and preparing complex data/reports related to the administrative, clinical, and technical aspects of the program. Data reporting will include quarterly narrative summaries of data collection as well as numeric values of number of recruited VA sites, number individual participants, number of individual seminars delivered, number of Continuing Medical Education credits earned by participants. This position will require compilation of data from qualitative (interview/focus group) and quantitative (questionnaires) data collection. This position will utilize an online platform NOMAD, is a database for organizing, managing, and reporting data. To ensure accuracy in data reporting, the incumbent will be responsible for completion of training in NOMAD software in collaboration with the principal investigator (PI) and an ORH liaison. Data-related aspects include but are not limited to real-time data collection during pre-curriculum meetings between the PI and participating VA sites, real-time data collection during program seminars, distribution of pre- and post-series questionnaires to program participants for quantitative data collection and program evaluation, organization/cleaning of data collected through questionnaires, and maintenance of a data log for future reporting to ORH. In accordance with data collection responsibilities, the incumbent of this position will participate in quarterly and annual project reviews with the PI and evaluation team lead, produce summary reports, and report findings to ORH as outlined in the expectations set by Center for Evaluation of Enterprise-Wide Initiatives (CEEWI). Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/07/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. You may qualify based on your experience as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: knowledge of research principles and practices; assisting with the day-to-day activities; creating agendas and writing committee minutes; collecting and compiling data; preparing correspondence and reports; utilizing automated software (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.); and maintaining records. Additional Information Receiving Service Credit or Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee.
