Robert Half Intake Specialist in Durham, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a meticulous Intake Specialist to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of requests, inquiries, and transactions while maintaining an organized and efficient workflow. This role is critical to our operations and requires strong planning, research, and data analysis skills. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process a variety of requests, inquiries, and transactions via phone, email, fax, and mail

• Review and verify the accuracy of requests, ensuring all pertinent information is documented and attached

• Provide support to both internal and external customers, resolving inquiries via phone or email

• Conduct data analysis to provide feedback to Team Leads on employee development needs

• Screen inquiries to determine if authorization is required, and verify member benefits and eligibility

• Maintain and update Service Requests, researching and rectifying any incorrect or missing information

• Efficiently triage and assign all incoming inquiries to appropriate staff throughout the day

• Perform monthly Peer Audits as required

• Provide clinical review outcome notification to members and providers in both verbal and written formats

• Operate office equipment for printing and mail delivery tasks within the building, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Requirements

• Capability to provide workstation support as and when required

• Proficiency in auditing processes and documents

• Strong phone presence and communication skills

• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation

• Practical knowledge of printing processes and equipment

• Ability to handle authorizations and related procedures

• Experience in tracking and managing missing invoices

• Ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed

• Capability to liaise with appropriate personnel within and outside the organization

• Ability to manage relationships with external customers

• Practical knowledge of using fax machines and other office equipment
