CAARE INC HIV/STI Health Educator in DURHAM, North Carolina
Will provide community outreach and testing in non-traditional testing sites including public parks, mobile applications, colleges and universities. Will provide health education and screening services to persons at risk for HIV, Syphilis, and other STIs. Will conduct Pre and Post test counseling and draw blood for testing and connect individuals to the community programs and services needed for interventions. Will disseminate condoms and educational materials to participating barbershops, beauty salons, community based organizations and other local businesses. Will provide monthly reports and data entry into an electronic medical record system. Educator will work jointly with the Durham County Department of Public Health.
