Here's the Gist:

Responsible for working in a team environment with technicians and customers to service, maintain, respond to and resolve routine Air and Water Balance concerns for the Durham sites.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Perform and enter monthly and quarterly system capacity readings, balance newly installed and existing Fab tools, investigate and resolve routine trouble calls, and air balancing for various areas inside and outside of the Fab.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to reduce potential hazards which may impact personnel health and/or the environment.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives in their area to reduce Fab impacts, improve efficiency and identify cost savings.
  • Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer’s and company guidelines to ensure safety and quality expectations are met.
  • Ensure area-specific procedures and documents exist and submits updates to content when needed.
  • Make recommendations related to preventative maintenance and other nonroutine issues.
  • Monitor, analyze and address issues for area processes each shift. Support and monitor area processes and addresses/escalates issues.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements) :

  • 10 years Test and Balance experience as a Test and Balance Technician or in a similar position
  • Must have a highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures. 
  • Willing to act independently to determine methods and procedure on new assignments.
  • Often demonstrates technical expertise and takes ownership in the success of the team and Wolfspeed business objectives.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft suite and be able to use this software system to create reports
  • Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 40 lbs with assistance.

This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations
