Minimum Education/Experience
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent written communication and proofreading skills for preparing correspondence, documents and reports, utilizing correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and the Internet, prefer experience with Blackboard, Chrome River, and Banner 9
Provide administrative and clerical support for faculty, adjunct faculty and guest lecturers
Copy/print materials for faculty and administration as requested.
Complete Department procurement transactions in purchasing system.
Complete travel requests.
Participates in academic event planning, as assigned, including but not limited to attending the events.
Respond promptly and courteously to all phone, email and in person inquiries, providing exceptional customer service.
Record departmental minutes for meetings.

Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position
This position provides day-to-day administrative support to the chair, program coordinators, and faculty of the department of Curriculum and Instruction in the School of Education. The role includes, but is not limited to, overall office support, coordination of departmental travel and reimbursement of expenses as needed, ongoing collaboration across the academic unit, and other related duties that help to advance the department and academic unit.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The School of Education oversees the university’s educator preparation program (EPP). The EPP is
multifaceted and provides many services and programming in the area of teacher education. The
overarching goal of the School of Education is to prepare
students for careers in education.
