Reuther+Bowen PC Structural Designer in Dunmore, Pennsylvania
Structural Designer. Multiple Openings. Assist in conducting structural analysis using software tools such as RAM systems, eneracalc, Hilti Profis, limcon, to ensure buildings meet safety and performance requirements. Support senior engineers in the design of structural components such as beams, columns, slabs, and foundations using relevant design codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE). Conduct peer reviews of designs and calculations prepared by junior engineers or interns, providing feedback and guidance to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Create detailed drawings and models using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) to illustrate structural designs and plans. Assist in preparing technical reports, calculations, and documentation related to structural analysis, design decisions, and project specifications. Ensure structural designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards, and assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals. Assist in identifying and resolving structural engineering challenges and issues that arise during the design and construction process. Work closely with architects, structural engineers, fabricators, and construction teams to coordinate design efforts and ensure integration of structural elements with overall building design. Work with excel, powerpoint, autocad, revit, ram connection, ram elements, ram structural system, Bluebeam, Hilti Profis, Enercalc, Engineering codes such as International Building Code, ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), Steel Manual (ASIC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), Aluminum Manaul, Nation Design Specification, Beam and Joist Catalog. 40 hrs/wk. Must have Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
