West Virginia Employer Traffic Control Flagger - Construction Work Zones in Dunbar, West Virginia

A traffic flagger, is responsible for setting up the work zone using the appropriate safety standards, standing and controlling traffic, and breaking down and cleaning up the work zone upon completion of the flagging operation. RESPONSIBLITIES: Safely maintain a consistent and unrelenting focus on Safety throughout all job functions. WORK ZONE MANAGEMENT: Manage day to day work zone set up, maintenance and tear down meeting or exceeding customer, state and company expectations, lift, carry and place traffic cones to ensure the safety of the work zone. Lifting may be up to 50 lbs. Lift, carry, place and assemble traffic control signs in the proper order to manage work zone traffic. Follow company and state guidelines for effective, safe well managed work zones. EQUIPMENT OPERATION: Utilize specific equipment (walkie talkies, yak trax, etc.) as specified in company policies. Drive Company trucks as needed. Keep equipment in trucks well organized and in working order. Obtain ATTSA Certification. CUSTOMER SERVICE, Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers. This includes on-time arrival and well managed work zones. REQUIREMENTS: Current Valid Drivers license with two or less moving violations in the last 36 months, and no major driving infractions. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Strong customer service mentality and proven track record of customer service success, Prior experience in Traffic Control Services or Utility or Construction Industry preferred, Capable of standing and holding a STOP/SLOW sign for up to 8 hours in a day. HOURS: Start times vary from day to day based on customer needs. Full and Part Time Positions available. Part Time positions are available for 1 to 3 days per week, primarily during the day shift. Needed days tend to be Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. MUST PASS DRUG TEST AND BACKGROUND CHECK.
