Moore County Hospital District Unit Secretary - Telenursing 8AM-5PM in Dumas, Texas

SUMMARY:  The position is responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties personally or in cooperation with department director and staff.   This is a busy multi-dimensional department with several population health initiatives for Moore County.  This role includes patient interaction and requires exceptional customer service skills, multitasking, and teamwork. Duties/Responsibilities Include: * Be responsible for clerical work related to admitting and discharging patients from Telenursing services, ACO, and PHO * Be responsible for registering patients into our electronical health record * Occasionally perform insurance verification and pre-authorization for RPM and CCM patients * Preparing monthly ACO and CCM patient reports for providers * Preparing memos, invoice letters and other documents * Answering phone calls and routing calls to appropriate personal or taking messages * Requesting patient records from doctor offices for Telenursing, ACO, and PHO * Assisting patients with making follow up doctor appointments and Annual Wellness Visits (AWV) as requested   * Assist with PHO and ACO duties as delegated by nursing staff * Helping prepare for meeting * Occasionally recording and typing minutes for meeting * Greeting visitors and complying with screening policies * Performing office duties that include ordering supplies, managing inventory spreadsheets, cleaning equipment, and making new packets * Assisting with patient calls as directed by nursing staff * Perform other duties as assigned EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High school or equivalent education preferred. CNA or MA preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Admission/registration experience, unit clerk, patient care, or physician office experience highly favored. LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: CPR certification
