Moore County Hospital District Radiology Imaging Technologist - PRN in Dumas, Texas

This is a PRN position. WHAT YOU'LL DO:  The Imaging Technologist performs radiography. The technologist must possess ARRT (R) certification.  The technologist must perform the duties following the policies and procedures of Moore County Hospital District and the Radiology Department.  The technologist must maintain good communication with the Radiologists, Radiology Director and all other hospital staff.  EDUCATIONAL/REGISTRIES/CERTIFICATION  REQUIREMENTS: * Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology * Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography (ARRT) (R) * Must be able to cross train in CT  * Possess and maintain certification by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) * Current CPR/BLS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * Previous experience preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Demonstrates the knowledge to provide direct and indirect care to patients of all ages: including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. * Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologists expectations and protocols. * Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals. * Supports and reports any identified compliance matters. * Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction. * Participates in equipment quality control. * Completes all required records and documentation. * Practices radiation safety by following the ALARA principle. * Maintains professional development and education for technical competency. * Uses standard precautions, PPE, at all times. * Maintains regulatory compliance and licensure for current position. * Completes all MCHD required educational programs. * Contributes to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilizes our resources efficiently. * Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area. * Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards. * Operates mobile x-ray equipment in the operating room, emergency room, and bedside. * Follows physician’s orders. * Participates in call/holiday coverage. * Other duties as assigned.
