Responsible for leading a team of professionals in the process and controls of on-site inventory management and demand planning. Accountable to maintaining and balancing costs while optimizing the ability to meet customer demand through accurate and timely analysis. Maintains relationships with multiple entities and operations to resolve issues, identify solutions and develop opportunities for iKey Responsibilities:Responsible for maintaining inventory management costs and optimizing the ability to meet customer demand through: Reduction of dead or slow-moving inventory, increase of fast moving or time dependent inventory and calculating optimal reorder points of inventory based upon frequency of demand and lead timeActively engages with suppliers to create partnerships that reduce intermediary costsTracks, reports, advises, and conducts quality assurance on inventory levels within distribution center and market inventoryProactively pursues the elimination of shortages that impact or may impact accurate and timely order fulfillment: Report out on “what and why” caused shortage, along with gap plan to resolve future impactsAnalyze order/demand history, providing direction on inventory levels and ordering practicesPartner with Operations to ensure overall customer satisfaction with accurate inventory levels, timely delivery of supply, and manageable analysis through tailored reports/presentationsPartners with Category Management and Procurements to develop beneficial contracts for Essentia Health as we reduce supplier activities through predictable and automated orderingPublishes reports, tracks performance by area and determines problems or root causes; publishes frequent reports that communicates results and recommends appropriate actionCreate, distribute, and maintain forecasting and analytical models using advanced MS Excel tools Maintain and participation in the process of product substitution and conversionMaintain KPI reports for weekly and monthly report outSupervise and develop group of inventory control staff, along with process, to ensure a healthy and robust inventory management program, accomplished by hiring and train staff, provide performance reviews and frequent, focused feedback to employee and develop and adjust standard operating procedures regarding inventory managementimprovement.Required Work Experience:3 years of experience with distribution and inventory management and/or experience working with inventory control, demand, and supply planningUnderstanding of advanced applications of advanced applications of MS Excel and various forms of data analysis tools (e.g., Smartsheets, etc.)Background in leading small to medium sized teams that are remote*

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree - preference given to degrees related to Supply Chain, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Preference given to candidates with certification from one or more of the following organizations: ASCM, AHRMM, IBF or other supply chain/inventory management organizations .

Preference given to candidates who are in Duluth, MN or the Greater St. Paul/Minneapolis area. Chicago would be the furthest outlier. All others need not apply unless willing to relocate.
